I look around at the blogs I follow and see the loveliest custom templates, and I want one for myself!
One problem. I have no idea where to find them, or how to make it work with my current page elements.
Anyone have any helpful suggestions or advice?

Google is your friend darlin...well thats what I did, google 'blogger templates' and sifted through squillions and squillions that are out there. Or talk very nicely to Lilly, shes whizzy in that department :) and could point you in a better direction than I...good luck!
What Petal said.
I'll help if you need it. Next week though... :-P
My new look was found here:

My one tip, as I was completely stupid about this - write down all your widgets and save things you want to put back up, including titles of different elements. I didn't do that so it took me a bit longer to get things going again.
Take a look at this site http://bloggertemplatesbycaz.blogspot.com/ maybe it will be of some help or at least get you started. The important thing to do before you attempt anything is to make a copy of your template as it is now so that if anything goes wrong you can always go back to what you already have. To make a copy of your template sign in and go to the DASHBOARD and then LAYOUT. Then click the EDIT HTML tab and the part you need to copy is whats in the box, its all funny writing that doesn't make a lot of sense. Just copy all this from beginning to end and then get a page up from NOTEPAD or WORD or similar and paste what you copied to there and then save it as you would a normal document. You may also need this copied template to add elements to your new template. I hope this is of help and if you want to ask more please do.
Yessss I love changes!!!! LOL
I switched to Blogger in Draft - with my limited skills in web design, it was perfect.

Etsy.com has some WAHMs that do them for between $10-$30
I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Agree with all above, but can't stress more the importance of copying all your widget info into notepad! But it seems you've already made the change, and it looks mah-va-lous dahling!
