HNT ~ Hardly Workin'

Over the past year I've taken a lot of pictures. I didn't really grasp how many until I started consolidating everything with the intention of uploading them to an online gallery to get them off my laptop.

Turns out the number is in the hundreds. The high hundreds. And a good number of them have been taken right at my desk at work, with quite a few captured in the ladies room as well. Cheeky, non? You'll have to forgive the crappy office lighting and grainy Blackberry camera.

This first set is from just before Christmas. I look at these and see the weight creeping back onto my legs. I wasn't being terribly serious about my running, or my diet, and the pounds were sneaking back. These two pictures were the motivation to get my ass in gear. Big time.

These next ones were taken yesterday. I was pleased to see my waist and hips looking quite a bit leaner. The definition is coming back to my legs, and I don't feel like I need to "suck it in" before I take the picture. I love seeing results!

On that note, I'm nearly ready for my first half-marathon. I'm 4 weeks away, and feeling strong and healthy. The issues I was having in my hips are resolved (new shoes did the trick!), and my long runs are feeling easier and easier. I am now cautiously optimistic about getting anywhere near my goal time.

This last one? Just a bonus shot. I like the way my legs look in it!
