HNT ~ Bootylicious

I've never been one of those teensy girls. Even when I was a kid, and a virtual string-bean, I wasn't small.

Dainty is not a word anyone's ever associated with me.

I'm tall, and broad shouldered, slightly wide through the hip, and I don't have the slender, bird-like bones that grace girls who are thought of as "dainty". I've got good Northern European genes... dainty was never in the cards.

Now, before you all rush to my defense to tell me how fabulous I am (you were all gonna do that, right? RIGHT?), I love my body. I really, really do.

I'm strong, and pretty fit, and I love my height. I have the grace of someone who spent years in dance and gymnastics, mixed with the toughness of someone who's played soccer nearly her whole life.

My weak point is that 10 inches from navel to thigh. I have that tenacious little poochy belly that plagues many of us, and I often feel like my butt is a bit "broad through the beam", so to speak. It's that part of my body that keeps me running and working out.

When I took these pictures, I was at first reluctant to share them; but the longer I looked at them, the more I began to see something other than a large-ish ass. I started to see the sensuous curves of a real woman. These pictures have helped me embrace my hourglass figure, so I thought I'd share them, finally, with all of you.

But, be gentle, my dears... sometimes I still get hung up on that butt.
