HNT ~ Rain

This series of pictures may be one of my all-time favorites. It was fun to pull out all my favorite shoes and play with the poses and parasols and lighting. I think my favorite shots are the ones where I managed to capture the parasol spinning. Had to play around with shutter speed to get it to look the way I wanted, but I was very happy with the results!

And I'm thrilled, of course - beyond words, that you all liked these pictures as much as I did!

Something new next week - though what? I have no idea yet...

I was surprised at how many songs I found - songs that I knew well - that were about rain. I've always loved the rain. I can always smell it coming, and love how the world feels muted and soft and quiet when it rains.

This week's song is special, which is why I saved it for the last of the series. While I think Madonna has become a bit of a caricature, this song really speaks to me... always has. Click on the Youtube player on the right to hear and see!
