A few things running around in my head today...
Privacy.... I'm seriously thinking of taking this little venture private. In fact I most likely will, and very soon. And no, it's not because of the new Stats tab on my Dashboard. It's something I've been thinking about for a long, long time. My reasons are many and varied. So consider this your advance notice, and if you want to be an invited reader, now's the time to let me know! (Especially if you're a lurker... first invites will go to those who actually comment!)
Apologies.... should they be made privately, or publicly (and cryptically)? You tell me.
HNT... I need to take a break. I am fresh out of creative (or otherwise) ideas for pictures; so consider me to be on hiatus temporarily. I will be back, I promise.
Yeah, heavy thoughts, I know... I'm a bit cranky today... what can I say?
Your thoughts?

I'm always amazed and impressed at how people can contribute to HNT on a weekly basis. I sit out until a decent picture just begs me to be posted (which hasn't happened lately!). You gotta do what's right for you... and if that means going private, I'd sure like an invite sweetie!
xoxo
I hate that feeling of disconnection that is sometimes overwhelming. I once had a fairly successful vanilla blog that just got to be too hard to maintain. so I do understand your dilemma. If you do take your blog private then I want in... otherwise I prefer to see it remain open, unless it is a threat to your RL.
Definitely nothing wrong with going private. You have a good batch of readers who will come along if you let them (myself included!) so you should continue to get the reads/feedback that you get normally.
If things get stagnant or stale...you can always change it back to public and make an effort to attract new readers.
I can envision a day where I'd go private as well, I think it would allow me to be a little less cryptic in my descriptions of my life's activities - as it is now, I stay quiet on certain things in hopes that no one that knows me could stumble upon the anonymous blog and connect the dots...
I understand the desire to take things private and would miss immensely reading your blog. Please invite me to continue reading if you do decide to go private.
And as far as HNT's go, only do what you want, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we enjoy whatever your willing to share.
Veronica and I once had a private blog, that's where the naughty stuff was, and we had other, public, blogs that were pretty benign. After a few months, the lack of interaction on the private blog was disheartening, so we gave it up. That's when I created the present Hangout you're familiar with.
(Keep in mind, private blogs won't update on blogrolls or feedreaders, so invited readers have to remember to keep visiting to see if you've posted anything new.)
Not trying to dissuade you from going private, just sharing my experience. If you do go private, I would greatly appreciate an invitation :-)
Apologies? Always in private, when done in public you wonder if they're truly apologizing to you or trying to look good in front of others.
I am probably one of your lurkers (sorry) a regular visitor who doesn't comment, but would be very sad not to read your blog; so would be very happy if you were to include me on your invite list (and I promise to try and comment) x
Well personally I prefer your hot stories with Aiden and Patrick - even though your pics are always awesome!
Me always comment!!!! So yes, please do send the invite if you are going private. Please. :)
I would also be suffering from the lack of interaction of a private blog... What I like about my lurkers is the odd anonymous or non-follower's comment that makes me smile or makes me think, you know? Sometimes, someone totally unexpected will come and leave a small note and that is when you know that you've touched someone. That can't happen when you are private. Just my opinion. Of course, I hate that comments have been on the way down, but I can't do anything about it.
Personally, I'm an easy mark for your wonderful words and photographs. But I can understand the need to shield yourself for a while.
Having said that, I also agree with SF - it is often the comments or emails from people that have stumbled across you that might make a piece, and the thoughts and feelings around it, resonate all the more.
So, if this is where we sign up, please invite me too. A Ms Scarlett free world would just be plain wrong... xx
I think you're pretty and I want to sign up when you go private...
I know what you mean about wanting to go private. I still struggle with it from time to time. Please send me an invite if you decide to. I'd hate for it to be a Ms Scarlett-free blogsphere.
With the things that have been happening in blogland, I can understand why you would be contemplating it.
And I know how you feel w/ HNT. IT's hard to find inspiration week after week.

I'm with Emmy...I can understand the desire to take your blog private.
But I'm also with Hubman. The commenters and interaction really goes down bc feeds aren't updated, people have to make a conscious effort to go to your bookmarked blog (rather than going down a list of feeds, like I do).
In the end hon, you have to do what makes you the most comfortable and it sounds like you have been contemplating this for awhile now.
xo
I have considered it my advance notice and I give you notice in return that I want an invite young lady. No need to apologize...it's quite normal to have ups and downs in this blogging world.
Take care of yourself and only share when and where you care to. Of course I always love seeing and reading your images and words, so please let me know how to continue to do that.
My best to you in all things.
Would love to keep reading, so please add me to the invite list. I understand the privacy thing too...
I agree that keeping up with HNT was very hard.
I hope to follow you in your private world.
Good luck to you.

Do what is necessary, Scarlett. I know the feeling and have been in private in the past myself. You are too valued a spirit to not maintain in the way that helps you best. So yes, I wish to follow you in your privacy as well, should you allow me the privilege of doing so...
Be well, my dear...:)
I want an invite too if you want. I would miss ya!
You have to do what you feel is right. Only you know what that is.
I still consider myself new here, and if I don't make the cut I totally understand. I do want to thank you so much for being one of my first followers and your words of encouragement. I don't have a lot of time to spend here in blogland, but I do enjoy reading your words when I can.
As for HNT, I understand. I am going to try and take a stab at it when I get the courage up. We'll see.
I wish you only the best.
My thoughts are that for selfish reasons I hope I'll be invited to read if you do choose to go private. I'd miss you otherwise!

Good morning Ms. Scarlett,
You should do what ever makes you feel the most comfortable. I don't get around here quite as often as I used to. Yet, I would still like the ability to do so.
Regarding HNT, I can certainly understand. Coming up with a new shot every week has to be challenging. As is coming up with comments for the efforts of all the other folks involved.
Apologies are best kept to the parties involved.
I'm in. What's the ante? Hope it's not an HNT pic. I'm bashful.
I'm a Lurker, but I promise I'll comment if you invite me!!
Good luck with whatever fork you take in that road...
Your pictures are, and have always been, wonderful additions to a fantastic blog, but it's your words, your thoughts, your honesty that always keep me coming back.
And as for apologies? Cryptic public apologies are for cowards mostly. I say kill them all.
I don't know how you find the inspiration to create an HNT every week and I agree once it becomes work it is not fun anymore.
I have enjoyed your bolg and understand why you would want to take it private. I'd be honoured to be included.
Are you ready for your half coming up?
if you go private you best invite me :)
xoxo
As many others have said, do what you need to do. If you decide to go private, consider this my request for an invite. :-)
As for HNT's, seeing new pics of you always brightens my Thursday - but again, do what you need to do. If you're not feeling it, take a break.
This should be play, and if it's starting to feel like work, then you're right to reevaluate.
Hugs,
Max
Do what you have to do. If you're not comfortable posting things to your blog, then what good does it do you? If taking it private helps with that, then more power to ya!
Unfortunately I'll be one of the few who can't follow you there, as I do all of my blog reading from Google Reader. As Hubman mentioned, it's not able to follow private blogs (at least, not the last time I tried). But I'll miss you, if it helps. ;)
Hi, I've been following your blog for a few months now. You're a beautiful woman and a real knockout on top of that. I hope that you find what you're looking for.
It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.

would love to follow you anywhere.. please invite me along. ;) luv always
i've been lurking for a while i guess now is the time o come out of the shadows.
You know ya gotta send me an invite! :)
Wait... How do ya go private? I did not know that was an option in Blogger?
Hi I have not been by in a while but please invite me if you make this place private. I hope you feel better soon, (((hugs)))
Aww private...well count me in if you decide to go that way =)
Wait...you WRITE on this blog?!!?! Who knew? I rarely get past the hair. Well sometimes I make it to the legs. And boobs. ;-)
But seriously folks, considering my own lack of writing 'uumph'. I ain't gonna chastise you for writing less or differently. I will miss the hair though.
Whatever and whatever, enjoy whatever you decide :-)
Just now going back & reviewing your blog, Ms. Scarlett (and enjoying it!) This one caught my eye (obviously). I'd love to be invited if you do go private.
I just started with the FFF and just read your work I very much liked your teasing. I hope for an invite to your private so I can continue to read your FFF work.
