Why I Do What I Do...

There are days when I wonder why the hell I put myself (and possibly those around me) through all this insanity. (Yes, everything is fine.. I'm just wool-gathering...)  Then I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes:

I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately
I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life
To put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die
Discover that I had not lived

~ Henry David Thoreau

... and then I remember the emptiness of "before", and I know why all over again...

it's why I love you baby. embodies the essence of Ms S. and the something more she seeks.

Who needs sanity? You can live in fear and emptiness or you can live...

It's funny that you used a quote from Thoreau- I was at Walden Pond on Thursday!

I'm glad these are just musings and nothing is wrong

It's great to have wise words that bring us back to remember the 'why' of what we do. It's wonderful of you to share that quote with us :-)
